Proper Archetecture by Bizkit66 Proper Archetecture by Bizkit66
Kirkstall abbey.. with unknown lady on path.. lols
Hate the crappy archetecture these days sharp buildings, metal, glass all sharp edges and couloured lights.. i live in leeds a 'developing' city.. one of there newest ones is a building is over 30 stories, deliberatly covered in rusty metal... its all desighned to make peoples minds work differently, surroundings effect the pshche in ways that make and break lives...

Likewise :-) - and go walking in wild places, the Amazon, Borneo... or go to India, Back to Thailand, Nepal... And yes, in a way, but then, admiring the wonder that we see / experience is not necessarily a bad thing... The desire to explore, experience, share, be happy... ;-)

Buildings like these Fascinate me. I mean think about how old it is and then The time it was bult there was no Proper Scaffolding and safety just a rope most likely and yet they still somehow managed to build such gorgeous gigantic buildings. I think now we have the proper tools and safety equipment we should be making more buiding like these.
Although, I do like some of the newer designs, The Shard and the Gherkin in London for examples. Too many isnt nice but i like a mix of the two, Its one of the main reasons I love London so. Stand one side of the thame river look across its all new and glass. stand the other side and look across and its all old and Historic.

Lovely shot. :D

I agree amazing the man hours gone into these, if you want to see one of the best iv ever looked into check out pictures from and around Machu Picchu.. so stunning :faint:
I think some are more tasteful than others, but there going far toofar, and we should be trying to do the old style buildings but new, as it would really show our civilization off better, most are so cheap, just girders with shiny stuff stuck on the outside.. :-)
Thank you!
